Rocom Corp. Precision Flexible Shaft Coupling

  1. When ordering please specify desired bore size on each end (see Sample P/N).
  2. Thru Bore - The Flexible beams have an inside relief to prevent the shafts from touching at the maximum misalignment.
  3. Clamps - An integral part of the coupling and cannot be removed.  When the screws are properly tightened, the clamp will hold to the torque rating of the coupling.
  4. Peak Torque - The maximum torque rating.  The correct dynamic torque safety factor should be determined by the customer in accordance with the acceleration, deceleration, reversals and or sudden stop loads, etc.
  5. Torque Rating - In round inches; and Wind Up - In minutes per ounce inches and they are at maximum misalignment.
  6. Coupling Material - 2024-T3.5 QQA225/6 Aluminum with MIL A8625 Type II black anodize.
  7. Insert Insulators - G10 glass filled phenolic and are available in the sizes shown.
  8. Cap Screws - Hex socket, steel, black oxide finish.
  9. CAUTION - REMOVE THE OIL FROM THE SHAFTS.
  A Phenolic Insert on one bore prevents heat and static electricity from damaging encoders, servo tachometers, resolvers and other rotary components. Resonant Frequency and Wind Up are minimized by the six short flexible beam design. Constant Velocity - High Speed
